"Parish of Dartford, Kent. May 26th, 1821.
WHEREAS By an Act of Parliament, passed in the first Year of the Reign of his present Majesty, it is enacted, "That an account shall be taken of the Population of the Kingdom, shewing the number of persons residing in each house, distinguishing how many males and how many females, the nature of the business or employment of such persons, together with the age of every individual living in each house. NOTICE Therefore is hereby given, That on Monday next, the 28th day of May Inst. and the days immediately subsequent, the Inhabitants of this Parish will be called upon to make a retun of the several particulars as aforesaid, and in failure of making a correct return, the parties will be subject to a Penalty of Five Pounds.
