"An Account of the Population of the Parish of Walthamstow in the County of Essex Taken on Monday, May 27, 1811, and Three following Days, Pursuant to an Act of Parliament Passed in the 51st Year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the Third, entitled 'An Act for Taking an Account of the Population of Great Britain, and of the Increase or Diminution thereof.' Chelmsford: Printed and Sold by Meggy and Co. 1811"
The last page reads "The increase of Population as of the preceding account I attribute to the General prosperity of the Country, excepting the Establishments of two laye Schools and a Copper Mill containing ^together^ 159 persons since 1801. Walthamstow July 13, 1811 [signed] Richd. Abbey."
Below that says the following: "I have found it impossible to Class the principal employments of Families with any precision on ac[coun]t of many of the poor families being employed sometimes in Agriculture and sometimes as assistants in other employments.
